    Description

    Warehouse Materials Manager - Greater Milwaukee, WI

    • Lead a cross-functional team responsible for managing and enhancing internal material logistics, shipping/receiving and warehouse operations.
    • Clearly define and communicate team members' duties and responsibilities, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a team-based atmosphere.
    • Oversee transactional discipline and maintain overall accountability for inventory control corporate reporting, cycle count programs, and perpetual transactions.
    • Develop and implement cross-training processes within the department to enable team members to perform multiple functions.
    • Understand and interpret labor contracts and policies affecting personnel administration.
    • Monitor safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance metrics.
    • Take necessary actions to meet each metric and recommend proposals to address future forecasted demand.
    • Lead continuous improvement and kaizen activities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business Administration or Engineering with a concentration in supply chain or operations management.
    • MBA and continuing education in the field of supply chain or operations management preferred.
    • Five years experience in plant level materials management.
    • Strong leadership competencies and negotiation skills required.
