    Job Summary and Qualifications

    HCA Healthcare's Digital Patient Experience (DPx) organization is seeking a Product Analyst II for a delivery team composed of technical leads, product engineers, and domain experts. The DPx organization is responsible for patient-facing digital products, including hospital and physician websites, online appointment scheduling, classes and events registration, the MyHealthONE patient portal, and more. This position will collaborate with business partners, vendors and other stakeholders to understand product priority and their primary goal will always be improving the Digital Patient Experience. Building strong relationships with teams, peers, leadership, business partners, stakeholders and vendors is a key component for success in this position.

    The Product Analyst serves as the primary coordinator for new feature development on HCA's Online Appointment Scheduling and Classes & Events modules which live on our 500 public websites and within our MyHealthONE patient portal, serving over 50M users annually. Responsible for gathering business functional and internal technical requirements, facilitating design sessions with UX, development, product, PM, and business teams, and packaging all information together so delivery teams can develop new features on budget/time. Additionally, requires strong oral and written communication skills to share new product benefits, opportunities, risks, issues, timelines, and budget information to both IT and business stakeholders.

    The candidate should demonstrate an understanding of complex ideas, and be capable of evangelizing the strategy, and priorities to the team and stakeholders. This role should practice attentive listening and display executive presence as they will be frequently meeting with senior-level business management and presenting to large groups including Product advisory committees. The candidate should perform all duties with a focus on quality of work, attention to detail and a high level of self-management and self-awareness.

    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Write and deliver business requirement documents and artifacts required to enable the teams development of products, features, and infrastructure.
    • Maintain and continuously prioritize backlog and roadmap based on data and customers needs.
    • Create narratives to advocate for and justify product launches / changes.
    • Plan and define the long-term vision of your product areas of ownership.
    • Build and improve a working relationship with your partners and stakeholders.
    • Determine and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure the success of the product.
    • Contribute to and develop the teams processes/mechanisms.
    • Regularly participate in stand-ups, design reviews and other meetings with engineers, and contribute to the discussion to ensure a high-quality bar.

    The primary applications and tools used are as follows:

    Azure DevOps – Manages all requirements tickets for each development cycle/sprint

    Confluence – Stores all documentation related to new feature development

    Celebrus (Customer Data Platform / Analytics Platform) - Provides insights into user behaviors to drive new feature development

    Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    Project Development

    • Provides expertise in process design and communicating requirements to product development, external solution providers, testing, and education/training.
    • Act as a Product Analyst within CRM and project Integrations, including requirements gathering, design, development, and testing
    • Elicits and documents business, user, functional and non-functional requirements. Creation of requirements deliverables for CRM Products
    • Participate in requirements validation and feasibility analysis with respect to CRM
    • Create high level and detail design specification that will enable, help troubleshooting day to day build activities.
    • Estimate work effort required in delivering features keeping CRM capabilities in mind
    • Assist the infrastructure team in CRM Integration configuration/customization for different environment
    • Accurately report issues and status to project management
    • Possess knowledge and experience with different phases of testing (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing).
    • Possess excellent communication skills to interface with various stakeholders from business consumer to technical staff.
    • Be incorporated into development teams from design to deployment of enterprise services.
    • Research and become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the interaction of the Service with source systems as well as interaction with the consumers (business users).

    Production Support

    • Lead troubleshooting activities
    • Is subject matter expert for assigned applications
    • Work on assignments involving the use of various technologies both old and new.
    • Complete assignments on time.
    • Work as part of a team and work independently.
    • Direct the performance of simple, moderate and complex troubleshooting / Maintenance assignments within the department
    • Able to establish and meet due dates
    • Provide after hours/on-call support as needed
    • Can resolve simple to complex production support issues
    • Actively participates in meetings
    • Able to build strong relationships within department and with other project team members
    • Looks for ways to improve how and what we develop and makes suggestions
    • Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals.
    • Expected to multitask

    What qualifications you will need:

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor's Degree Required

    RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

    3 or more years

    • Must have the ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
    • Strong problem and issue resolution experience and create quality deliverables.
    • Constantly looking to hone one's instincts through patient feedback and data insight
    • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
    • Experience with cross-team coordination, project management concepts, and executive presentation skills
    • Experience working on program managed rollout and operations of large-scale enterprise software systems/platforms or large-scale online presence
    • Experience and disciplined in Agile development techniques
    • Experience with end-to-end product delivery
    • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
    • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of product priorities
    • Self-starter who can collaborate with cross-functional partners in a dynamic environment and deliver results
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience within the healthcare industry is a plus, but not required
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, taking ownership and initiative and holding self and others accountable
    • The ability to think and act; decisiveness, assertiveness, with the ability to achieve results quickly
