Hard Truth Distilling Co. is the largest destination craft distillery in Indiana, set on a 325-acre, wooded campus featuring the Hard Truth distillery and rackhouse, a large restaurant, a tours and tastings center, and an expansive terraced outdoor recreational area with a stage, yard games, and more. Hard Truth Restaurant is looking for a Food Expeditor As a Food Expeditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of food from the kitchen to the customers' tables. You will be responsible for coordinating between the kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure that orders are prepared accurately, timely, and in line with the restaurant's standards of quality and presentation.

Food Expeditor Responsibilities:

• Coordination: Act as the liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring clear communication and smooth operation during peak hours.
• Order Management: Review and organize incoming orders, prioritize them based on urgency, and ensure they are prepared and delivered promptly.
• Quality Control: Inspect each dish before it leaves the kitchen to ensure it meets the restaurant's standards for quality, presentation, and portion size.
• Timing: Coordinate the timing of each dish's preparation with the progression of the meal to ensure that all courses are served promptly and synchronously.
• Special Requests: Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff and ensure that they are accommodated without compromising on quality.
• Problem-solving: Anticipate and address any issues that may arise during service, such as delays in food preparation or last-minute changes to orders, with efficiency and professionalism.
• Team Support: Assist kitchen and front-of-house staff as needed during busy periods, lending a hand wherever necessary to ensure smooth operations.
• Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expediting station and surrounding areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

Requirements:

• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management under pressure.
