    Description

    Food Runner Position at XYZ Restaurant

    The Food Runner/Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring a top-notch dining experience for our guests at XYZ Restaurant. Here's what the job involves:

    • Delivering food orders promptly and accurately to guest tables
    • Ensuring all plates are correctly prepared and garnished
    • Keeping the expo line clean and organized
    • Communicating effectively with the kitchen team

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Welcoming guests warmly and addressing their needs professionally
    • Ensuring correct preparation and presentation of plates
    • Providing guests with necessary table items
    • Collaborating with servers and kitchen staff to resolve any concerns
    • Maintaining cleanliness and organization at the expo station
    • Assisting in carrying plates and communicating food orders accurately
    • Completing cleaning tasks efficiently
    • Setting up and breaking down stations

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Knowledge of Teamwork and Toast POS systems
    • Effective communication skills
    • Ability to handle pressure in a busy environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills for guest satisfaction
    • Familiarity with food menus and proper handling
    • Basic math skills
    • Understanding of cleaning and maintenance procedures

    Qualifications:

    Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

    Experience: Minimum one year in a fast-paced restaurant or bar

    Licenses/Certificates: Food Handlers Card, ABC Service Certification, CPR certification/First Aid training desirable

    Attire and Appearance: Employees must adhere to grooming standards

    Physical Requirements:

    • Work in elevated temperatures
    • Move quickly and safely in tight spaces
    • Ability to lift 25 lbs

    Additional Skills: Fluency in multiple languages is a plus

    Compensation: $12.00/hour plus tips
