Job Description Summary:
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Andrew Lutkewitte, Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Clinical Pharmacology.
This project will use comprehensive metabolic testing combined with multi-omic approaches to assess the signaling mechanisms that drive hepatic de novo lipogenesis following adipose dysfunction.
We have established several mouse models of adipose tissue dysfunction and loss; in addition, we use several in vitro cell lines and primary hepatocytes and adipocytes to study the molecular mechanism in controlled conditions using radio and isotopic tracing methods.
Additional projects in the lab include identifying molecular mechanisms controlling adipose tissue triglyceride synthesis. If interested, please send a letter describing your research experience/interest/future career aspirations, CV, and contact information for three references.
