- Ph.D. or Psy. D. in clinical child psychology, pediatric psychology, school psychology, applied behavior analysis, or other related disciplines.
- All requirements for Ph.D. or Psy.D. prior to starting the post-doctoral fellowship (e.g., dissertation).
- Must be eligible for temporary licensure in the state of Kansas (see ).
- At least two years professional experience in an interdisciplinary setting.
- Experience in interdisciplinary educational programs relating to children with special health care needs and their families is desirable.
- Knowledge of interdisciplinary settings and functions.
- Knowledge of the field and current trends regarding children with special health care needs and their families.
- Participates in clinical, research, outreach, and advocacy activities.
- Participates in an interdisciplinary course with other LEND trainees. Qualified applicants may have the opportunity to provide teaching and supervision to graduate student trainees and assist the MCH core faculty in the development and implementation of interdisciplinary training experiences.
- Clinical opportunities include interdisciplinary diagnostic teams, developmental behavioral therapy clinic, PCIT, feeding team, telemedicine evaluation and treatment, social skills groups for girls, cranio-facial clinic, screening for developmental disabilities, ABA, and cleft-lip/palate clinic.
- Fellowship provides opportunities for further professional development, including completion of "supervised practice" hours and preparation for licensing exam.
- Models a commitment to the practice and teaching of family-centered care.
- Research areas of emphasis include sensorimotor processes and cognitive abilities in ASD, structural and anatomical brain alterations associated with ASD, gender differences in ASD, and infant/young child social, language, and cognitive development.
- As requested by the Project Director or Training Director, represents the MCH project at meetings, conferences, workshops, etc.
- Assists with the maintenance of specific data on MCH services, training, research, and materials development and dissemination.

This is a one-year fellowship with clinical and research involvement. The Pediatric Behavioral and Developmental Division at the University of Kansas Medical Center is an interdisciplinary university division with a focus on clinical care, training, community outreach, and research related to autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Under the administrative direction of the MCH Project Director and the clinical direction of the Psychology Discipline Supervisor, the Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow will have the opportunity to be a long-term trainee in the Division's Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disability (LEND) interdisciplinary training program.Job Description:

Coverage begins on day one for health, dental, and vision insurance and includes health expense accounts with generous employer contributions if the employee participates in a qualifying health plan. Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
