    Job Description Summary:
    The individual selected for this position will join the current health psychologists in a rapidly growing, 23-member Psychology Division to: a) provide assessment, treatment, psychoeducation and triage to outpatients with cancer and their caregivers at our NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center; b) participate in interdisciplinary team-based care within the Center; c) participate in the professional education of psychology interns and fellow in our APA accredited programs, as well practicum students, medical fellows, residents and students; and d) collaborate with other faculty in scholarly activities. The selected individual will join the Department of Psychiatry at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

    At KUMC, faculty are encouraged to engage in many of the available opportunities to collaborate with faculty and colleagues within and outside KUMC on scholarly activities.

    Job Description:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Doctorate Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited doctoral program (with an APA approved clinical internship)
    • One year relevant post-doctoral experience in psychosocial oncology or health psychology
    • Must be fully licensed or licensable in the State of Kansas (primary) and Missouri (or PSYPACT) by the time of the appointment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • At least 2 years of postdoctoral specialized training and experience in psychosocial oncology

    Job Duties Outlined:

    • Provide assessment, treatment, psychoeducation and triage to outpatients with cancer and their caregivers at our NCI-Designated Cancer Center
