- Managing the design and implementation of intelligent transportation systems and systems engineering projects for transportation projects. These may involve roadway management systems, video surveillance systems, vehicle detection systems, motorist information systems, control center design and integration, SCADA systems, and communications systems
- ITS business development support
- Serve as task lead and/or project manager for traffic/ITS engineering and design projects
- Support design-build projects as needed
- Provide quality assurance and quality control oversight
- Provide oversight and mentor staff
- P.E. in NY/NJ required
- 20+ plus years in ITS engineering, traffic systems engineering and systems integration
- Communications engineering experience a strong plus
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering required - Masters degree preferred
- Excellent technical and written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to design and manage ITS projects
- Ability to effectively develop new business. Relationships with state and local agencies including NJDOT, NYSDOT, Port Authority of NY/NJ, NYCDOT, NJTA etc. is preferred
- Knowledge/experience with CAV and/or CAV corridor planning is a plus
- Experience in traffic engineering and microsimulation modeling is a plus
- Lighting analysis/design experience in Visual/AGI a plus
- A clean driving record is required

Dewberry's Bloomfield, NJ office is seeking a ITS Discipline Manager, responsible for knowing how to do the work committed to in proposals and leading the appropriate resources to do the work for ITS system engineering and system integration projects. The position will also assist Project/Client Managers by providing engineering resources to help meet the client's desires and budget. In-depth knowledge of the NY/NJ ITS market is required.
