What We Offer
The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program provides intensive mental health services to youth 10-18 years of age with severe mental health/substance abuse issues.
These youth are at risk for greater hospitalization or homelessness and may be experiencing their first onset of a serious mental health condition.
Others may have been in traditional mental health treatment services but now require a more extensive programThe Bright Beginnings program is a collaboration between Uplift Family Services, Exceptional Parents Unlimited and Comprehensive Youth Services.
The program serves children who have complex behavioral health needs (birth through age 10) and aims to build stronger families.
Services include behavioral management and positive parenting strategies, referrals and connections to community services and 24/7 crisis support.Job Summary
Works within the vision, mission and philosophy of the agency. The Family Specialist II
trains or oversees the development of a strength based relationship with youth and
caregivers. Models how to implement positive behavior change through the creation of
behavioral strategies that will support stabilization in the home and community. Does
whatever it takes to meet the needs of the family in a strength based approach while
also preserving the family unit. Assists in transitioning kids to the lowest level of care.
Provides staff with morale building, leadership development, role modeling, and overall
support to the Family Specialist I to ensure that needs are met for families and each
other. Continues to bring creativity and strength-based philosophy to the office and our
families. Works independently in the family's home and a variety of community and/or
