**Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions**
Provides leadership, direct supervision, and training and development of staff to ensure efficient and effective use of staff per company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Assists with cost and budget control within functional areas.
Develops and supports execution of internal process improvements within the Technical Service Department
Assists with the development of departmental budget, forecast and the development of annual operating plan.
Oversees documentation of safe handling of all materials.
Provides supervision to Technical staff in order for team to achieve their overall goals.
Works with all Technical and Customer Service staff to assist them in generating new business and maintaining existing accounts.
Responsible for ensuring staff complies with all procedures.
Acts as project manager for special bids or departmental projects. Maintains a working knowledge of competitors and market trends.
Maintains working knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance requirements (EPA, DOT, OSHA, etc.).
Leads or assists in work teams and meetings (e.g., Tech Meetings, etc.) as needed.
Maintains working knowledge of RIS and RTS capabilities and regulatory requirements.
Coordinates profile approval and quotation process in an efficient and timely manner.
Assists in the hiring of new associates within the Department.
Assists in resolving customer complaints, credits and inquiries regarding company services.
Develops KPIs & metrics: tracks and publishes relevant data; uses data to assist in continual imporvement
Daily use of advanced PC and business computer applications, telephone conferencing and e-mail.
Understands RES ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and assists with executing its objectives.
Performs other job-related duties assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**
Four year degree in chemistry or related field, with chemistry training. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Five or more years experience in similar position in the environmental services industry.
Supervisory experience required.
Working knowledge of DOT, RCRA and EPA regulations is required.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
Must be willing to work additional hours or off-hours as needed to meet business objectives. May be required to travel to customer sites.
Must be highly organized and able to problem solve to meet business objectives.
Must be able to resolve conflicts to meet business objectives.
Must possess strong work ethic with commitment to safety, compliance, and quality.
Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office/Windows), able to generate reports and correspondence as required.
