The lab technician is expected to work closely with the department manager. Will provide working direction, training, and support for the QC technicians. Will be task with reviewing and auditing all incoming raw materials, tooling and SPC charts. Expected to track and monitoring material and data discrepancy. Will assist in the development of SOP and training literature.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all safety and HESS policies.
Must have a good computer knowledge and basic data entry skills.
Must be able to use basic mathematical calculations, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Will be expected to audit and monitor product quality results for the department.
Will need common knowledge regarding inspection tools and use.
Communicate with Quality Control, Shift Supervisors and Plant Manager on nonconformance issues and general discussion.
Encourage employee development through training, education, and positive reinforcement.
Maintain clear communication with Supply Chain regarding materials.
Be dedicated to continuous improvement.
Familiar with and understand GDT
Maintain needed training certification.
Work with the department and Plant Manager on future opportunities.
Make fact-based decisions using data and historical knowledge.
Lead by example by using the 5S Principals. Must maintain a clean and organized area.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred.
Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, prints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Wear safety attire or protective gear, may be exposed to distracting noise levels, may work within a few feet of other workers.
