    Description

    Piper Companies is looking for an Associate Scientist to work for a Large Pharmaceutical manufacturer in Durham, NC.

    Responsibilities for the Associate Scientist include:

    · Assist in the execution of the laboratory work necessary for commercialization of pharmaceutical products.

    · Performs hands-on laboratory bench work preparing solutions and processing samples for testing in accordance with approved procedures and methods.

    · Conducts laboratory work with high degree of accuracy and precision, including but not limited to, quantitative weighing, dilution, sample handling and processing.

    · Ensures all laboratory work is documented in accordance with approved procedures.

    · Environmental monitoring, growth promotion testing, microbial identification

    · Builds knowledge and prowess offered through training and guidance to increase manual skills and competence on instrumental analysis using HPLC, GC, dissolution, UV-visible spectrophotometry, Karl Fischer, and other techniques as required.

    Qualifications for the Associate Scientist include:

    · Bachelor of Science in related field is a plus

    · 6+ months experience working in a cGMP environment

    · Exposure and knowledge of the majority of the following: HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, titration and wet chemistry.

    Compensation for the Associate Scientist include:

    · $65k-70k

    · Full Medical, Dental, Vision

    · 2 weeks PTO, 6 Paid holidays
