    JOB SUMMARY

    The Gift Processing Associate: The Foundation Gift Processing Associate serves to handle cash, checks, credit cards, stock transfers, non-cash donations, non-batch cash transactions, donor acknowledgement letters, and memorial/honorarium notifications. Creating and maintaining donor and prospect records, event database management, handling return mail, preparing correspondence, maintaining files, and conducting special projects and assignments. The Gift Processing Associate is under the direct supervision of the Donor Database Manager, who reports directly to the VP of Foundation Finance.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  • · Receives daily deposit documentation and prepares checks, credit cards, and noncash donations for data entry in Raiser's Edge database (RE) following the guidelines in the Gifting and Financial Processes document.
  • · Creates new or updates existing donor records as necessary. Prepares pledges, gift agreements for processing in RE. Analyzes gifts to determine the appropriate campaign, fund, and appeal for gift entry.
  • · Creates and prepares gift batches for processing. Processes pledges, matching gifts, pledge payments, cash gifts, non-batch cash, and biweekly payroll deductions.
  • · Tracks outstanding pledges and produces pledge reminders as scheduled. Maintains and updates donor records and the gift processing user guide.
  • · Performs a variety of special projects as requested that relate to the job responsibilities of the immediate manager and functional areas.
  • · Receives telephone calls and notifies the appropriate person of the call, takes, and relays accurate messages; and answers routine inquiries by donors or staff.
  • · Processes gifts received online or by telephone and processes credit card information as required by the guidelines in the Gifting and Financial Processes document.
  • · Performs other positions appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.

    • KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • · Knowledge and use of Raiser's Edge software or relational databases are preferred.
  • · Knowledge of PaperSave Solutions or other imaging software is preferred.
  • · High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree or higher degree preferred.
  • · Proficient in Microsoft Office software, with an emphasis on Word, Excel, or Access.
  • · Detail oriented and good organizational skills.
