Job Opportunity:
Program Specialist IV
The Program Specialist IV, under the guidance of the Manager for the Medication Data and Analysis (MDAG), collaborates independently and as part of a team to organize, develop, design, coordinate, execute, and assess training programs, workshops, and special projects related to HIV database application software and procedures. This role involves creating educational materials and providing support to DSHS-funded HIV/STD contractors and THMP participating pharmacies focusing on HIV database application software.
The ideal candidate will conduct needs assessments, design curricula, and produce various written materials such as reports, teaching aids, and website content. Additionally, they will be responsible for planning, promoting, and delivering customized training sessions based on assessment results. Collaboration with DSHS software application administrators and program consultants is essential to ensure training covers regional needs adequately. This position may also involve participation in special projects and representing the agency on committees.
Acting as the training liaison between software application administrators, Administrative Agencies, and contractors is a key aspect of this role. The Program Specialist IV will coordinate training needs assessments and assist contractors in accessing required training and technical support. This position allows for a high level of autonomy, requiring initiative and independent judgment.
