Program Specialist IV at ABC Company

We are looking for a Program Specialist IV to join our team at ABC Company. As a Program Specialist IV, you will be working under the general direction of the Manager for the Diabetes and School Health Branch in the Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Section within the Community Health Improvement Division. This role involves highly complex consultative, educational, and technical assistance work related to community-based diabetes self-management education and support (DSMES) and Diabetes Prevention Programs (DPP).

Essential Job Functions:

Provide advanced consultative services and technical assistance to program contractors
Develop programmatic language for solicitations and contracts
Implement and communicate agency policies and procedures to contractors
Develop techniques for evaluating DSMES and DPP services
Review contractor budgets, expenditures, and performance

Develop resource materials using evidence-based practices
Identify educational support opportunities for contractors
Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts
Maintain knowledge of diabetes standards and practices
Participate in state engagement calls and activities

Other duties as assigned include supporting disaster response and recovery efforts when necessary.
