    Overall Job Description:

    Be the driving force promoting FFTP's vision for technology and innovation, directing all aspects of technology implementation and support, and driving the ongoing development and continuous improvement of information management strategies, solutions, and security. The CIO will play a crucial role in driving agile innovation, supporting growth, managing technical debt and enabling the organization to experiment with new technologies. Will play a vital role in managing donor databases, tracking program outcomes and impact, coordinating communication and outreach strategies, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Must be an experienced executive leader, with a strong vision and implementation strategies for a robust technological infrastructure designed to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness of our mission.

    The CIO will serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership team (ELT) and will be held accountable for possessing core executive leadership competencies.

    The ideal candidate will bring their technical expertise, dynamic leadership, and business acumen to a position that will support the relief and development nonprofit model and affect positive impact throughout the organization.

    The successful candidate can be located remotely but flexibility to travel as needed is required.

    Responsibilities:
    1. Strategy - Reporting directly to the President/CEO will have the responsibility to develop and execute our organization's information infrastructure and technology strategy, identifying opportunities to leverage technology and manage information to enhance the organization's effectiveness in delivering humanitarian aid and development programs. Staying apprised of the latest technology trends will identify opportunities to integrate them into our strategies and business operations. Will develop a compelling vision for the IT/IS function, including the resources needed to create a sustainable program and lead the implementation of FFTP's technology plan. The CIO serves on the ELT and is involved in the strategic planning process and other strategic decisions for the entire organization.
    2. Innovation and Application- Provide vision and direction related to the use of technology within the nonprofit sector. Collaborate cross-functionally to understand FFTP's technological needs, and to cohesively evaluate and implement strategies and technological solutions including CRM, ERP, and enterprise data warehouse platforms. Evaluate emerging technologies to determine their applicability to the fundraising, administrative and mission-oriented segments of the organization. Prioritize data centrality and establish a robust and regulated data fabric to seamlessly integrate and manage data across the organization's various applications and platforms. This involves developing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive approach to data integration and mastery throughout the organizational ecosystem. Lead the establishment and execution of a digital workplace strategy that facilitates digital dexterity in the workforce, ensuring team members have the tools and work environment to be engaged, productive and effective.
    3. Infrastructure and Security - Oversee the design, development, and implementation of IT systems and infrastructure. Document and maintain an accurate mapping of the IT systems architecture. Drive the development, implementation, and monitoring of organization-wide cyber security standards. Lead enterprise risk management assessment and action related to cyber security. Oversee the day-to-day technology and cyber security infrastructure and support functions for all office locations and remote staff. Ensure technology practices adhere to policy and regulatory standards.
    4. IT Governance - Leads the technology vision and digital transformation for the organization worldwide. Support the digital advancement of the organization by assessing emerging technologies and their usefulness in supporting the mission of the organization. Collaborates with all segments of the organization to identify, plan, and implement digital solutions to expand and enhance donor cultivation and fundraising strategies. Possess a broad understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and their potential applications within FFTP's strategy. Understanding of data analytics, metrics, and related tools and how to apply them to various aspects of IT projects and teams.
      Drives systems implementation for monitoring and evaluating program impact and effectiveness. This includes collecting and analyzing data to measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision-making processes.
    5. Leadership and Team Development - Develop and implement a strong talent strategy for the Technology function, to include recruiting, developing and motivating staff. Effectively develop talent at all levels, especially with coaching and development of direct reports. Uphold and live our culture of Christian values.
    6. Vendor Management - Build partnerships with external providers that will advance growth, innovation, and achievement of our strategic objectives. Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and outside experts to ensure seamless management and implementation of all technology solutions, applications and systems. Own relationships with software and hardware technology vendors. Manage technology budget and contractor resources.
    7. Travel - Minimal travel is expected within USA and/or LAC countries.

    •Proficiency with fundraising applications using available data to perform comprehensive donor data analysis and reporting.

    •Experience creating budgets and forecasting technological needs.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or related fields are preferred. Master's degree a plus.

    Experience:

    At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in information technology or related management role with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing a complex information technology function. Extensive experience in managing complex IT projects, including system integrations, software implementations, and infrastructure upgrades. Working experience with a relief or development nonprofit organization preferred.

    •Successful track record in visioning, planning, and managing projects from inception through the development lifecycle.

    •Ability to effectively plan and coordinate priorities based on business goals.

    •Extensive knowledge of the technology industry, systems, and practical applications; database technologies; cloud-based solutions for business and nonprofit; and network, infrastructure, hardware, and software management.

    •Practical knowledge with the following systems/technologies: Donor Management Systems, ERP and donor centric CRM solutions, Monitoring & Evaluation tools (Data analytics/Data Reporting), Project Management applications, and Collaboration and Communication tools.

    •Demonstrated experience developing and implementing technology and data transformation strategies, including data migration.

    •Understanding of data analytics and data reporting tools to derive insights and inform decision-making.

    •Extensive industry knowledge alongside a vision capable of transformational change.

    •Demonstrated experience with information security including staff training, policy management, industry standards, access controls, and adherence to federal and state regulatory compliance.

    •Ability to navigate an organization with key stakeholders and partners across various groups.

    •Extensive understanding of the analysis, design, hands-on development, and delivery of data-centric solutions.

    •A high standard of professional and ethical conduct, integrity, and accountability.

    •Held one of the top roles in the information/technology structure of a sophisticated and comprehensive nonprofit organization.
