    SUMMARY

    The Business Office Manager is responsible for direction and coordination of several functions such as admissions, billings, and collection. Provides assistance, as may be delegated, in areas of budget preparation, general accounting and preparation of reports.

    STATUS: Full Time

    LOCATION: Riedman Campus

    DEPARTMENT: Business Office

    SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, Days

    ATTRIBUTES
    • Associate's degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred.
    • One year of supervisory experience required.
    • Three years experience working in a business office required.
    • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    LEADERSHIP & SUPPORT: Manages the day-to-day activities of Patient Accounts and Physician Billing. Spends majority of time managing others. Establishes priorities and administers policies and procedures. Participates in preparation and monitoring of department budget or expenses. Accountable for pay decisions and People Resources issues. Prepares a weekly cash flow report summarizing receipts and disbursements. Approves and audits all hand checks processed in the Business Office for Director's signature. Prepares all standard and adjusting journal entries. Monitors and enters all miscellaneous cash to general ledger. Determines allocation of monthly supply expenses to appropriate departments. Processes end of month closings for cash, accounts payable, and general ledger. Balances cash and accounts payable to general ledger.

    RECONCILIATIONS & BILLING: Reconciles monthly bank statements to general ledger balance and then balances and prepares payroll banking figures. Processes biweekly and quarterly payroll taxes and related filings. Prepares monthly departmental variance reports for salaries and other expenses. Processes and maintains records for employee garnishes. Generate collection letters and/or refer patient accounts to attorney for collection processing. Processes all resident receipts to resident accounts including resident refunds. Assists the Business Office staff with projects and researching patient accounts. Performs other duties as assigned

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
