    NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue is America's oldest public hospital, established in 1736. Affiliated with the NYU School of Medicine, the 844-bed hospital is a major referral center for highly complex cases, with its 6,000 employees including highly skilled, interdisciplinary clinical staff. It sees more than 110,000 emergency room visits and 500,000 outpatient visits annually. Bellevue is an academic medical institution of international renown. We have served as an incubator for major innovations in public health, medical science, and medical education. Bellevue is a Level I Trauma Center delivering around-the-clock care in adult, pediatric, psychiatric and pediatric psychiatric emergencies as well as in the nationally-designated categories of cardiology, neurology, toxicology, and neonatology. In addition to providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient state-of-the-art care Bellevue is a city-wide medical specialty referral source. Bellevue's clinical centers of excellence include: Emergency Medicine and Trauma Care; Cardiovascular Services; Designated Regional Perinatal Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (ICU); Comprehensive Children's Psychiatric Emergency Program; and Cancer Services.

    Minimum Qualifications

    AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

    Outpatient Pharmacy

    (List summary of duties and responsibilities):
    1. Fill prescriptions, resolve discrepancies in patient therapy.
    2. Ensures that weekly controlled drug inventory is done.
    3. Scheduling for opening and closing the OPD pharmacy.
    4. Oversees filling of controlled drug prescriptions.
    5. Oversees the maintenance of inventory in the WAMB/EPIC
    6. Oversees robotic system.
    7. Prepares daily schedule for lunch and break coverage with assistance from Assistant Coordinating Manager.
    8. Oversees checking and reporting of outdated drugs.
    9. Documents interventions, adverse drug reactions, and medication errors.
    10. Supervises the operation of the outpatient pharmacy.

    1 1. Coordinates new pharmacy staff orientation.
    12. Answers the telephone, identifying self and department.
    13. Directs calls to appropriate personnel.
    14. Participates in patient care counseling activities
    15. Answers requests at the pharmacy window.
    16. Oversees cleanliness of the pharmacy area and keep equipment clean, neat, and well-organized.
    17. Ensures staff compliance with regulatory agency and hospital rules and regulations.
    18. Oversees day to day operations or applications within their scope of responsibilities.
    19. Supervises and lead the provision of safe, timely, efficient, equitable, effective and patient-centered pharmacy services.
    20. Hold staff accountable to standards of the department.

    21 , Serves as the liaison to coordinate compliance and regulatory issues for areas of responsibility.
    22. Supports pharmacy workflows and practice expectations through operational planning.
    23. Identify opportunities to redesign system of oversight to maximize performance (i.e.: labor and operational efficiency).
    24. Manage current electronic health record (EHR), technology and automation for optimum value.
    25. Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with services. Resolves customer complaints, helps respond to customers' requests in a timely manner and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Models and shares customer service best practices.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    Maintain current New York State pharmacy license and registration.

    Hospital experienced preferred, but not required.

    BS PharmD Pharmacy Degree
