In this fast-paced, high-energy environment where information system operation is essential, how do we ensure our Information Technology (IT) systems are kept up and running smoothly? As an IT Support Technician, you will provide support and assist in providing top-notch customer service to end users with the ability to work well in a team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and maintenance of all internal hardware, software, and other related systems that is applicable to all inhouse networked desktop computers. Perform systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, and/or system functional specifications.
  • Support the IT Department in the daytoday operations and interfaces with all departments with reference to both hardware and software issues.
  • Support all software currently installed in the environment including but not limited to installation, configuration, troubleshooting and modification, access to and proper licensing of software.
  • Support onboarding of new software to be used in the environment by installing and documenting, training, and keeping detailed notes for troubleshooting, remediation of potential problems, and training of others.
  • Trace and configure network switches; run, trouble shoot, and reset ports and patch cables when needed.
  • Responsible for desktop documentation, maintenance, inventory, cleaning, and repair of all parts and materials licensed and owned by Potawatomi Casino & Hotel (PCH)
  • Perform the maintenance and inventory of all parts and materials of 3rd party vendor products. Including receiving of new parts/materials, replacing of new parts/materials, and shipping of damaged parts/materials.
  • Responsible for the disassembling, relocating, and assembling of all systems.
  • Assist with design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, and/or modification of computer systems.
  • Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • An Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field
    required

OR
a high school diploma and 2 years of related experience -
required

  • CompTIA A+
-
preferred

  • Ability to use standard office equipment and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 & 036
  • The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  • The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
  • The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Participate in training as recommended or required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the property for duration of scheduled shift (for prolonged periods of time in a physically demanding, fastpaced environment). The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member may occasionally be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds occasionally, with assistance. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties when required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions
The noise level is usually moderate. When on the casino floor the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
