the Business Information Security Officer will be a member of the Cyber Security leadership team and work closely with the line of business Technology Officers.
This will be a hands on role working along side business units to represent cybersecurity and help them drive change within their projects and applications.
In addition, this role will help the lines of business manage obligations and administrative controls within asset management, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and issue management as well as help to drive strategic security projects within the business.
Primary ResponsibilitiesConnects business needs with security needs in order to drive both security within the business strategy as well as business into the security strategy
Owns and coordinates Issue Management, prioritization, remediation, and security posture within assigned business units
Represents security initiatives and projects within each business unit in order to ensure that requirements are properly gathered included within projects as well as to ensure that business prioritization includes security initiatives
Delivers quarterly business reviews (QBRs) for each of your assigned business units to show improvement, gaps, blockers, and challenges
Drives change where blockers, gaps, and challenges live, and ensure that this can show improvement in the security operations within the business unit
Spearheads the creation of a culture and mindset that security is a business requirement and create paths of communication and collaboration to mutually determine the implementation of those requirements while balancing with regulatory and strategic timelines and objectives
Participates in key operating routines to drive cyber security risk strategy
Establishes and maintains a network of stakeholders and partners
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years cyber security and technology experience
Or High School Diploma and twelve (12) years cyber security and technology experience
Five (5) years of risk or cyber security issues management experience with proven ability to effectively apply risk principles to challenging business situations
Demonstrated ability to effectively apply risk principles to challenging business situations
Experience in application security, vulnerability testing and development of risk appetite
Experience understanding and managing security controls within cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), regulated environments, and with a wide variety of technologies
Preferences
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Skills and Competencies
Ability to be comfortable delivering messages across a wide spectrum of individuals having varying degrees of technical understanding
Deep understanding of cloud security platforms (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills
Exceptional executive presentation and communication skills
Knowledge of Windows, Midrange and Mainframe Platforms with emphasis on security and access controls
Proven ability to build strong partner relationships
Strong leadership skills
Understand risk management and risk appetite in a way that can be used to relate specific security requirements or gaps into a broader lens of risk
This position must bewithin a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary location being for
Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.
Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.
Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions.
Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include:
experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
