    Coastal Lakes College (CLC) is seeking an Education Support Teacher to join their friendly team.

    This position requires a flexible and reflective teacher, ideally with specialist knowledge and skills related to students with moderate to severe disability, including Intellectual Disability (ID), multiple physical disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Trauma.

    Experience in supporting students with complex communication needs is highly desirable.

    The successful applicant should be able to manage class teams and liaise with parents and therapists to meet the educational and care needs of their students. A Certificate 4 in Workplace Training & Assessment is desirable but not essential.

    The successful applicant should share our commitment to excellence in teaching and learning and to the learning needs of all students. It is desirable for the successful applicant to have a working understanding of and a commitment to, Trauma Informed Practice.

    The successful applicant should be able to develop, implement and review meaningful and appropriate Individual Education Plans that not only outline functional curriculum objectives, but that support the whole child through targeted social-emotional skills, life skills and Protective Behaviours curriculum.
