    The Role
    The Senior Director Business Operations is responsible for supporting an entire business unit's sales channels.

    This role provides visibility across senior executive's scope of responsibility to enable better decision making, identification of key focus areas, and progress tracking of top initiatives aligned with regional, functional, and corporate objectives as outlined in the 3-Year Operating Plan.


    The Main Responsibilities

    • Develop and refine management system to ensure visibility by consistent monitoring of the business objectives, including all key leading indicators from a financial and operational perspective
    • Critical adviser to the business unit's President and subsequent leadership team in progressing key objectives and identifying and solving challenges
    • Develop instrumentation approach for the business to assess performance vs. targets, refine strategic vision and identify additional areas for improvement
    • Supports the business unit's President and operates as a member of the senior management team in developing short- and long-term plans to meet key goals and annual objectives
    • Plans, organizes, implements and controls externally focused business strategies by using programs and processes to optimize current and future business performance
    • Develop key messages and create presentations on behalf of senior executive by representing and communicating the priorities of leadership across the entire Lumen organization
    • Provide oversight of, and creation of, linkages for cross-functional projects, initiatives, and efforts across the senior leadership team.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    What We Look For in a Candidate

    Required
    Bachelors' degree in Business, Operations, or related field.
    10+ years of related experience 5+ years management experience
    Recognizable as a leader by possessing outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
    Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of executives and constituencies
    Strong results orientation with demonstrated track record of success
    Strong presentation and negotiation skills
    Ability to work in a fast paced and independent environment
    Ability to build and sustain high performing teams
    Experience in liaising with multiple operational contacts at executive and senior management levels
    High degree of adaptability Strong Excel, quantitative, and technical skills
    Experience working for publicly held, US owned, global corporation
    Ability to support multiple locations

    Compensation
    The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

    Location Based Pay Ranges

    $ $221610 in these states:
    CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

    $ $232160 in these states:
    AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

    As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

    This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
    This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
