    This is a terrific opportunity to join Marsh's Asia Client Services (ACS) specialty practice as a client advisor located in our New York, NY office. The ACS specialty practice in the United States is part of a global network of approximately 600 dedicated colleagues that specializes in providing insurance and risk management services and solutions to multinational clients emanating from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, and India.

    This is the ideal role for an individual looking to join a highly successful team within an established, market leading insurance brokerage. We seek an individual that is passionate about building relationships with clients, deliver exceptional customer service, and willing to collaborate with their team to achieve goals and improve client deliverables. The position offers a real opportunity to progress upwards.

    We are seeking a Account Representative in our New York, NY office.

    What can you expect?

    • Develops basic understanding of client's business, policies, and practices.
    • Licensed per appropriate state regulations;
    • Is accountable for quality control on client work
    • Develops basic understanding of risk identification and analysis;
    • Understands Insurance policies, coverages, forms, pricing, checklist and insurance regulations;
    • Develops basic knowledge of program design and brokerage concepts;
    • Develops basic understanding of the working insurance marketplace and how to manage on behalf of clients. Begins to develop market relationships;
    • Develops basic understanding of risk management concepts;

    We will count on you to:

    • Responds to client needs promptly. Reviews and analyzes clients insurance needs and recommends changes in coverage.
    • Alerts management to potential account problems, seeks direction, implements appreciate action
    • Effectively communicates information to account team;
    • With assistance, structures and writes reports and presentations;
    • Learn to present to clients and prospects. May participate in presentations.
    • Alerts account manager and team manager to any problems that are potentially serious and may jeopardize Marsh relationship with client.
    • Responsible for placing coverages which includes pricing, market selection, marketing and binding in a timely manner. Seeks assistance as necessary.
    • Learns to use interpersonal skills for positive results;
    • Supports the sales efforts

    What you need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
    • Working knowledge of insurance coverages is required.
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools witih a strong PowerPoint background
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, matrixed environment
    • High attention to detail and collaborative skill set

    The applicable base salary range for this role is $49,400 to $105,400.

    The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
