    We are looking for a Senior Business Development Representative to play a pivotal role in Axion Ray's future growth and success. Your primary responsibility will be to generate interest in Axion Ray by researching, qualifying and crafting tailored communication to VP and C level prospects at large, strategic target accounts. Success will require a capacity for due diligence, critical thinking and experience with executive level communication. This role will involve completing a high volume of phone calls mixed with omnichannel web prospecting (email and Linkedin). You will also handle lead qualification and help convert leads into clients in tandem with our Account Executive, Solutions Engineers, and Executive Leadership. The Enterprise Business Development team is at the core of Axion Ray's go-to-market function, and will report to the Director of Business Development.

    What you'll do:

    • Conduct comprehensive research & due diligence as part of prospecting and target account qualification.
    • Work both individually and in tandem with our Enterprise Sales organization to create personalized, targeted strategies to generate demand with executive leadership at enterprise accounts.
    • Initiate outbound calls to VP and C level prospects at large, strategic target accounts, introducing them to Axion Ray's solutions and assessing their needs.
    • Establish and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
    • Craft compelling email and LinkedIn messages to engage prospects and generate interest in exploring Axion Ray's offerings.
    • Maintain a consistent and organized outreach schedule to ensure a steady flow of new leads in pursuit of our ambitious company goals.
    • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand the unique selling points of Axion Ray and tailor messaging to resonate with executive-level decision-makers.
    • Act as a liaison between prospects and the sales team, facilitating smooth transitions and ensuring the sales team is equipped with the necessary information to close deals successfully.
    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to iterate on messaging and tactics, ensuring alignment with current market demands.
    Who you are:
    • BA/BS degree (or relevant work experience)
    • 3-5 years professional business development, sales experience
    • Must have 2+ years of enterprise SaaS Sales experience
    • Experience engaging with C-Level Executives at enterprise organizations
    • Comfort with high volume cold calling
    • Demonstrates a creative approach to problem-solving
    • Comfort with fast change and ambiguity
    • Desire to move up within a fast growing organization
    • Exposure to manufacturing, AI, or engineering software preferred

    Axion is based in New York, New York with a headquarters in Williamsburg and the team works in a hybrid capacity. This role is expected to work in office at least 3 days weekly.
