    Description


    Duties As Program Specialist, you will: Coordinate schedules, meeting agenda, development and tracking of action items for senior management level officials within the Division's Office of the Director.

    Assist program officials in defining the level and kinds of services needed to carry out assigned responsibilities and to accomplish project objectives.

    Coordinate assignments, projects, and day-to-day plans and identifies objectives based on an understanding of the program, program overall priorities, and related efforts in the organization.

    Solve problems related to special projects that involve complex administrative or support issues.

    Maintain and monitor project tracking and reporting systems and develops status reports and response materials for the attention and to review by senior management.

    Qualifications Desired Qualification Requirements/Experience:

    Providing the full range of administrative and support services to meet the needs of a multifaceted organization with diverse administrative and programmatic support needs.

    Applicants must currently occupy a full-time Career or Career Conditional competitive service position within CDC/ATSDR or an Excepted Service position under the Schedule A, Schedule B, or Veterans Recruitment Appointment Authority within the CDC/ATSDR or Commissioned Corps equivalent, unless otherwise specified in the Announcement.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

    Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

    You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
