    Description

    Organization

    Come be part of the team at OU HSC, Oklahoma's top research university setting the pace for education and career opportunities in the state. OU HSC is among the four leading academic health centers nationwide, boasting seven professional colleges.

    Duties:

    • Manage a community outreach program team and staff
    • Coordinate internal and external events with community, tribal, and internal partners
    • Serve as a liaison between the department/center and hospital partner for interactions with industry, community, and tribal partners
    • Enhance visibility of the department/center's outreach program by taking leadership roles in state comprehensive cancer coalitions and other community councils and committees
    • Assist in developing community grants and provide oversight
    • Develop and oversee program budgets
    • Design and create instructional and promotional materials in collaboration with central marketing
    • Host visiting groups
    • Collect event and outreach data, perform analysis, and prepare reports as required
    • Carry out various other duties necessary for the role


    Job Location

    Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND:

    • Minimum of 18 months of experience in community outreach
    Preferred: Master's degree in a related field and an additional 12 months of management/supervisory or leadership experience in community programs

    Skills:

    • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
    • Effective presentation and facilitation skills
    • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
    • Familiarity with the administration of community events
    • Leadership skills to lead teams
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Networking abilities
