    Outreach and Marketing Coordinator

    This position is for an Outreach and Marketing Coordinator for the Central Office Division.

    Basic Purpose

    We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Outreach and Marketing Coordinator to join our team responsible for promoting the State Veterans Homes system in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma State Veterans Homes provide long-term care services to veterans, offering a range of amenities and support to honor their service and ensure their well-being. The Outreach and Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in increasing awareness, promoting services, and fostering community engagement to support our mission of serving Oklahoma's veterans.

    Typical Functions
    • Develop and implement comprehensive outreach and marketing strategies to promote the Oklahoma State Veterans Homes system.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the unique features and benefits of each Veterans Home and effectively communicate them to target audiences.
    • Assist in the creation of engaging marketing materials including brochures, flyers, presentations, and digital content to showcase services, events, and testimonials.
    • Assist with digital marketing channels including website content, social media platforms, email newsletters, and online advertising campaigns.
    • Coordinate community outreach initiatives, including participation in local events, veteran organizations, and health fairs to increase visibility and referrals.
    • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders such as veteran service organizations, healthcare professionals, local healthcare facilities, government agencies, and community leaders to support collaborative marketing efforts.
    • Provide individualized assistance to Veterans and their families who are seeking admission to an Oklahoma State Veterans Home.
    • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, including website traffic, social media engagement, and lead generation, to optimize strategies and drive results.
    • Assist in organizing and promoting special events, open houses, and educational seminars for veterans and their families.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in marketing for healthcare and senior living services.
    • Uphold the values and mission of the Oklahoma State Veterans Homes system, demonstrating a commitment to serving and honoring our veterans with integrity and compassion.

    Education and Experience

    Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of three years of experience in public contact work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge and skills we are seeking.
    • Proven experience in marketing or community engagement, preferably within the healthcare, senior living, or nonprofit sectors.
    • Strong creative and writing skills with the ability to develop compelling content for various marketing channels.
    • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including website, social media management, email marketing, and analytics.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
    • Self-motivated and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Passion for serving veterans and understanding of the unique needs and challenges they may face.
    • Flexibility to travel state-wide and work occasional evenings or weekends for events and outreach activities. A valid Oklahoma driver's license and ability to operate state-owned automobiles are required.
    • Knowledge of military culture, veteran benefits, and healthcare services is a plus.
