    Job Overview:

    The Manager Strategic Events advances fundraising through the management of the key 5 signature events for the St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center Foundation, including the annual Foundation Gala, NFL Alumni Golf Outing, Fall Golf Outing, Sax 4 Miler and Fashion With Compassion, the marquis fundraising event for the Childrens Hospital. This position is integral in advancing the financial success of the Foundation fundraising goals, with the intent to cultivate new donors and create a sold pipeline of donor revenue growing 3% per annum.

    Owns the responsibility to identify, negotiate and secure event venues and vendors to meet business and budget goals. Project manages 8-15 vendors per event.

    Contract management; owns and manages the responsibility for each supplier contract from approval to payment, initiating approvals in the SJH Meditract system, initiating check requests for payment and managing the payment schedule for multi year expenses exceeding $760K.

    Expense management and reporting responsible for creating, tracking & managing the for costs related to each event to insure maximum ROI is achieved

    Creates Data Analysis of donors by event using Raisers Edge to target new donor opportunities

    Donor relations- owns the relationship with the event committees, sponsors and donors inquiries for continuous contact and issue resolution.

    Works with outside web developer to create 5 event websites and information for ticket sales, sponsorships and event information

    Primary contact with PR for flawless rollout of events with media and social platforms

    Provides direction to the Events Logistics Coordinator to ensure timely and successful project execution

    Supports the Director of Strategic Events goal to raise $1.9 million in gross revenue for the Medical Center.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors Degree

    3-5 years of fundraising event management experience

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Superior organizational skills, accuracy and precision in handling details

    Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and a database management system, such as Raisers Edge

    Flexibility to participate in evening/weekend events and to travel, as needed

    The position requires the ability to create event concepts and supporting materials including branding, website details, sponsorship levels and benefits, donor correspondence and executive reports.

    Strong communication skills and relationship building is required.
