The Senior Principal Engineer - Software Systems is a member of the Technical Leadership Council (TLC) functioning as the SWX wide expert in Software Systems . This person will lead creation and maintenance of the technical strategy for Software Systems design for SWX projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The key po sition responsibilities of The Senior Principal Engineer - Software Systems include:

Creating and maintaining the technical strategy for Software Systems design including abstraction interfaces
Evaluating new features impact on software system technical strategy and modify the strategy as necessary to accommodate feature growth
Develop technical documents that detail strategi c system features and interfaces
Build and test prototypes to validate the technical strategy

Requirements and Skills

Experience building applications on Linux or Android is preferred
Ability to conduct research into software-related iss ues and products Highly self-motivated
Basic understand ing of ARXML s and their application in Automotive
Basic understanding of Cockpit and AD Software Architecture is preferred
Hands on experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB , PREEvision or Rhapsody
Deep understandin g of software systems design including resource modeling and software integration
Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
Experience with GreenHills , QNX or other embedded operating systems is preferred
U nderstanding of software design, coding methods, programming principles and best practices
Flexible and adaptable to lear n and understand new technologies
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environmen t

Basic Qualifications:

College diploma or University degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering or equivalent
1 0 + years equivalent work experience
