    Description

    As part of our Systems Engineering team, youll join a diverse group of driven professionals who design the products and systems that support enhanced military capabilities, protect national security, and keep critical information and infrastructure secure. We are currently looking for experienced Systems Engineers with the ability to support our Combat Vehicle and Naval Guns Product Lines. Here we value our workforce and their well-being. This position is currently to work on-site on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off out of either our Minneapolis, MN or Sterling Heights, MI offices. Thisis a Contract to hire position

    As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will:

    • Lead or support requirements development and management.
    • Develop and manage subsystem and component performance specifications by analyzing and deriving necessary requirements.
    • Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance, and supporting artifacts. Support requirements decomposition analysis to help drive concept architectures and system characteristics.
    • Lead and facilitate architecture development of assigned system, subsystems, and components.
    • Lead development and maintenance of interface requirements and interface design information for assigned sub-system, system and components. Document concept design decisions and support generating System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.
    • Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results.
    • Support the execution and monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk. Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design.
    • Support vehicle level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a Masters degree in Systems Engineering wwith 6 years of experience
    • Experience with military vehicle systems. Logical architecture experience, including development of use cases.
    • Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.
    • Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML methodology and tools like Cameo.
    • Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF). Have and maintain INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification. Leadership and mentoring of younger engineers.
