- This role is hybrid, working remotely and at the assigned location based on business need. Headquarters location is flexible within PG&E service territory.
- Plans, manages, and controls the activities of a team that provides operational support for a business segment, group, or team.
- Provides support to emergency preparedness command system.
- Oversees the design and implementation of innovative quality products, programs, and services to enhance safety management systems.
- Develops and manages contracts, vendors, or service providers to support safety programs.
- Collaborates with regulatory agencies and conducts incident investigations.
- Collaborates internally to reduce exposures and enhance employee health and welfare.
- Leads safety process improvement initiatives and assists in developing work procedures.
- Provides guidance in support of business area objectives.
- Sets and achieves department goals, participates in career development, and training.
- Analyzes and reports to improve quality, serves as a subject matter expert.
- Supports and implements safety processes.
- Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, safety management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6 years of relevant Safety experience
- Master's degree in safety engineering, safety management, or related field.
- Certified Utility Safety Professional certification.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or similar.
- 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience in operations, construction, or maintenance.

Description
Position Summary
Develops company-wide policies and procedures for Safety and provides subject matter expertise on a variety of safety disciplines. Interprets safety and health regulations, policies, and organizational safety and health programs. Leads safety process improvement initiatives. Partners with Lines of Business and/or Regional Leaders to implement Safety programs and advises business groups by providing direction on the development of procedures. Oversees process and procedure development, implementation, and communication.
PG&E is providing a transparent salary range for this position. The actual salary will consider multiple factors and may fall anywhere within the specified range.
A competitive salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $132,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $226,000.00
California Minimum: $125,000.00
California Maximum: $215,000.00
