    Description

    Position Summary

    Oversee and implement safety programs for Vegetation Management. Coordinate and evaluate program effectiveness. Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with Safety leaders to execute initiatives. Conduct presentations and meetings.

    This role is hybrid, working remotely and onsite as needed. Headquarters location is flexible within the PG&E service area.

    PG&E provides a competitive salary range reflecting skills, experience, and market factors:

    • Bay Area Minimum: $128,000
    • Bay Area Maximum: $​218,000
    • California Minimum: $122,000
    • California Maximum: $207,000

    This role offers participation in PG&E's incentive programs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Represent PG&E in industry forums as a subject matter expert.
    • Set Safety program goals and metrics.
    • Develop safety standards and policies.
    • Ensure compliance with Safety regulations.
    • Present to senior management.
    • Establish quality control procedures for regulatory compliance.
    • Stay informed on safety regulations.
    • Provide Safety training.
    • Lead program reviews.
    • Promote safety awareness.
    • Mentor team members.
    • Find solutions to complex problems.
    • Collaborate across departments.
    • Organize project teams.

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • BA / BS degree or equivalent.
    • 9 years in safety and program management, preferably in construction or utilities.

    Desired:

    • CIH, CSP, or CHST certification.
    • Utility industry experience.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Effective problem-solving abilities.
    • Customer-focused mindset.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
