Position Summary
Designs, develops, implements, and oversees health and safety programs in accordance with safety & health strategy which includes program marketing and immersion of programs at PG&E to change or improve employee health, safety, and wellness.
Works with Safety & Health leaders to strategize and execute program initiatives; supports execution by providing tools to leadership and health champions.
Delivers presentations and training courses.A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum:
$ 114,000
Bay Area Maximum:
$182,000
OR
California Minimum:
$108,000
California Maximum:
$173,000
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office, and your assigned location based on business need. Headquarter location is flexible within PG&E service territory
Job Responsibilities Develops, implements, monitors and maintains programs (EH&S Emergency Preparedness), systems, policies and procedures required to ensure regulatory compliance and the overall safety and health of employees and the community.
Provides support to emergency preparedness command system. Creates safety standards and policies that meet regulatory compliance and represent best practices. Recognizes, evaluates, recommends and implements PG&E Safety policies and procedures to assure awareness of and compliance with Safety requirements. Makes presentations to senior leadership as well as communicating program philosophy, information, and operational policies and procedures. Ensures that quality control procedures are established to monitor all aspects of regulatory compliance. Must keep fully informed on all existing and proposed changes in occupational health and safety regulations. Develops and provides safety training to company employees.
Develops and implements programs including leading coordination and facilitating of program review sessions with leaders and/or functional groups to review costs, schedule and program effectiveness.
Promotes programs to enhance and encourage employee awareness of safety, accident/incidents, industrial hygiene and regulatory complianceQualifications:
Minimum
BA / BS degree or equivalent experience
7 years of safety and program development/management experience in a construction, utility, or industrial environment, or master's degree in safety specific area and 5 years of safety and program development experience in a construction, utility, or other industrial environment
May travel over 50% of the time.
