Job Description

To expand our team at the refugee arrival center in Heidelberg, which we operate, we are currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator (m/f/d) in full-time.

We aim to build a network of volunteers to connect the citizens of Heidelberg and the surrounding area with our residents in a neighborly manner.

Are you interested in a leadership position where you can help others? Are you communicative, reliable, and enjoy working with people from different nationalities? Then the following tasks await you:

  • Identifying the internal need for volunteers
  • Networking with the neighborhood and the city of Heidelberg to recruit volunteers, as well as projectbased cooperation with nonprofit organizations and companies
  • Conducting initial interviews to assess suitability and interests
  • Introducing the facility and fulltime employees to interested parties
  • Matching volunteers with residents according to their needs and wishes
  • Acting as a liaison between facility management, volunteers, residents, and fulltime employees
  • Developing and shaping volunteer projects
  • Introducing, supporting, and promoting volunteers
  • Representing the company at events and information days
  • Participating in working groups for the continuous development of volunteering
  • Applying for and monitoring
