    **JOB SUMMARY:**

    We are seeking a Field Safety Manager to help fuel and support our rapid growth in West Louisiana. Reporting to the Safety Director, the Safety Manager will play a key role in helping keep Gallo Mechanicals people safe, healthy, and productive.

    The ideal Field Safety Manager will be passionate about the safety and wellbeing of others while also making sure rules and regulations are being strictly adhered to. The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, public speaking ability in small groups, and keep up with the fast-paced construction industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for this role.

    **RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    **Overview:**

    Identify, document, and correct unsafe conditions on jobsites

    Supervise and administer safety activities

    Conduct audits, inspections, property damage, and injury investigations

    Accompany all management on job walks

    Thorough understanding of federal, state, local, and company regulations

    **Training:**

    Conduct Scissor lift, forklift, and boom lift trainings for employees

    Provide Job Safety Analysis training for foremen and lead personnel

    Ability to teach OSHA 10 class

    Hold yearly refresher trainings for recognizable construction hazards

    **Duties :**

    Preview projects and sites before work begins to determine safety risks

    Visit active sites to address work safety conditions and ensure compliance

    Work with project teams and field leadership to develop and implement solutions to safety related issues

    Maintain safety-related paperwork and submit to safety department

    Daily coaching for company employees on safe work practices

    Travel between Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Lake Charles

    Hold safety meetings

    Present new-hire safety orientations, when needed

    **IDEAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:**

    **Skill Required :**

    Great communication skills- the ability to communicate effectively both in the written and spoken word

    Ability to effectively listen

    Knowledge of OSHA standards

    Good recordkeeping abilities and record maintenance

    Ability to access heights via ladders, scaffolds, job-made ladders, or buck hoists

    Familiar with mechanical construction

    **Education and Qualifications :**

    A degree in safety or related preferred

    Knowledge of MS Office

    Use of technology for audits and recordkeeping

    OSHA 30 is a must; OSHA 500 is a plus

    Meet physical requirements of job

    Be able to obtain clearance to applicable government entities
