    Job Description

    Strings for Hope in Nashville, TN is looking for part-time sales representatives to join our team. At Strings for Hope we take recycled and used guitar strings and make them into jewelry. We employ women in transitional facilities recovering from addiction, human trafficking, and domestic violence to hand craft each piece.

    Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged. Our Sales Representatives share our mission with the community and sell the beautiful items these women make during their time in recovery.

    THIS IS NOT A REMOTE JOB. Locations vary between each event and pop-up.

    Responsibilities

    • Set up inventory to be displayed nicely
    • Greets customers and offers them assistance with finding the best product for them
    • Advises customers by providing information on products and company
    • Processes payments; cash, credit cards, and applying correct discounts
    • Use judgment to solve customer problems
    • Maintains scheduling commitments
    • Counts inventory after each shift
    • Works well in fast-paced environments

    Qualifications:

    • At least one year experience in face to face sales/customer service
    • Friendly and outgoing personality
    • Excellent verbal skills
    • Works well solo and outside
    • Must be able to stand on feet for 6 hrs
    • Must be able to lift 50lbs
    • Detailed oriented

    Pay:

    • $15hr plus commission
    • One free item of jewelry and t-shirt after training days are complete

    Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Compensation is $ $19.00/hour.

    About Strings for Hope : Strings for Hope is a charitable organization that partners with shelters, halfway houses, and safe houses throughout Tennessee to provide individuals facing hardships with opportunities and a platform to succeed. All of our jewelry is handcrafted out of donated musical instrument strings by survivors of addiction, domestic violence, and sex trafficking.
