- Must have Forklift experience
- Three (3) years of on-the-job experience as a packaging mechanic.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing packaging equipment.
- Understanding of basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles.
- Experience working with mechanical systems and components.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems and components.
- Knowledge of welding, drilling, and milling.
- Proficiency in operating shop equipment.
- Must have basic standard and metric hand tools.
- Flexibility to work any shift and overtime as required.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Experience in rebuilding and overhauling packaging equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting using computer-based diagnostics.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation such as electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Experience with photo electronic registration systems.
- Working knowledge of Lathe operation.
- Capable of moderate to heavy lifting and performing various physical activities.
- Comfortable working in an internal plant environment with exposure to dust and noise.
- Perform a wide variety of work in multiple areas including operations, mechanical, and blending.
- Operate, maintain, and repair equipment on the packaging floor.
- Ensure product quality and equipment efficiency.
- Conduct housekeeping, safety, and quality audits.
- Identify and implement operational improvements.
- Diagnose and rectify equipment operating conditions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
- Complete work orders and maintain skills training.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
