    Responsibilities

    The Data Technology and Architecture department at Oaktree oversees the data technology organization and ensures firm-wide data needs are met holistically in a scalable and efficient manner. We design institutional solutions to meet the data / reporting needs of internal & external consumers. Based in Los Angeles, the Assistant Vice President will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing MDM solutions that enable effective data management and governance across the organization.

    Responsibilities Include:
    • Work closely with Semarchy and implementation partners to successfully execute the Account/Product master.
    • Architect and design end-to-end MDM solutions that align with business requirements, data governance policies, and industry best practices.
    • Lead the technical implementation and development of MDM solutions, ensuring high-quality and scalable deliverables.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, business users, and IT teams to gather requirements, understand data needs, and define MDM strategies and objectives.
    • Analyze existing data management processes, systems, and data quality issues to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
    • Develop data models, data integration strategies, and data mapping specifications to ensure seamless data flow and integration across systems.
    • Lead the development and customization of MDM tools and platforms, including data cleansing, matching, merging, and data quality monitoring.
    • Define and enforce data governance standards, data policies, and data stewardship processes to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MDM solutions with other enterprise systems, such as CRM, Accounting, and BI platforms.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, overseeing coding standards, code reviews, and quality assurance processes.
    • Stay updated with emerging MDM technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation in MDM solutions.
    Qualifications

    Required:
    • Proven 3 years + experience as an MDM Solution Architect, MDM Technical Lead, or similar roles, with a focus on MDM solution design and development.
    • In-depth understanding of MDM concepts, data modeling, data integration, data quality, and data governance principles.
    • Experience with data profiling, data cleansing, reconciliation and data matching techniques.
    • Solid knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and web services (REST, JSON).
    • Proficiency in programming languages, including Python, Scala, PySpark, and T-SQL, and experience with database technologies PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.
    • Proficiency of Cloud platform implementations - AWS
    • Knowledge of Project Management (tools, tactics, and methodologies), operating policies, procedures and practices
    • Experience with large scale technology implementation, custom development and data and systems integrations
    • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies and best practices
    Preferred:
    • Experience with the Semarchy xDM tools and technologies or similar platforms
    • Experience in UI frameworks such as React or Vue JS
    • Well versed in the use of the Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Confluence)

    Education

    A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Information Technology. Ideal candidate may also possess an MBA/CFA and/or formal education in Finance focusing on Investment Management or Financial Engineering.

    Base Salary Range

    $135,000 - $160,000

    In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
