    The Blue Dog Cookhouse and Bar offers an elevated brunch, dinner, and cocktail experience as an upscale casual New American Restaurant with NYC roots. We aim to provide a top-notch dining experience every day, emphasizing service, quality products, and innovative dishes working hand in hand. With a menu featuring seasonal cuisine, American classics with an international influence, and craft cocktails.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

    • Responsible for recipe creation, updating costing of each menu item, and accurate menu descriptions.
    • Ensure quality, consistency of products, and dish execution, sharing knowledge about ingredients and their origin.
    • Accommodate guest's allergies and special requests, incorporating them into the meal for a personalized experience.
    • Communicate any food-related issues or menu changes promptly and adjust menus accordingly.
    • Cross-train culinary staff for coverage, monitor performance, and provide coaching as needed.
    • Follow company processes for accurate food ordering and maintain proper inventory and freshness of ingredients.
    • Manage food costs within given margins and communicate effectively with the General Manager.
    • Seek competitive pricing for products, ensure compliance with health department regulations, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

    Key Skills:

    • Attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation, portion sizing, and presentation, as well as culinary expertise and effective communication.
    • Supervisory skills, menu and recipe design, consistency maintenance, and the ability to lead, train, and multitask.

    Requirements:

    • Select high-quality ingredients, prioritize freshness and seasonal availability, and advocate for healthy leadership practices.
    • Proficient in explaining ingredient heritage, collaborating on social media content, and creating cost-efficient recipes.
