- Collaborate with departmental leaders to gather insights and aid in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Assist the VP of Finance in monitoring budget variances and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
- Contribute to the establishment and upkeep of robust internal control processes to protect company assets.
- Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Aid in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements, supporting executive management in analysis and presentation.
- Review the work conducted by our finance and accounting team.
- Assist the VP of Finance in managing day-to-day cash flow operations.
- Work closely with the VP of Finance to ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.
- Perform any other duties as required.
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA qualification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in finance and accounting, with a background in construction.
- Experience managing annual external audit processes.
- Proficiency in operational finance, including cost accounting and planning.
- Expertise in accounting principles (specifically US GAAP), procedures, internal controls, and sales and use tax regulations.
- Familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum (ERP) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
