Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will join Westfield Group's growing specialty insurance division. You will ensure that all team processes and objectives of our underwriting platform are met.ResponsibilitiesRole and ResponsibilitiesDaily contact with the Underwriter, Underwriting Assistant, brokerage community and teammates.
Review, page mark and rate submissionsFollow up for necessary underwriting informationMaintain diary and follow up for outstanding items-post bindPolicy and Endorsement issuanceIssue quotes and binders with assistant and/or underwriter guidance when necessary.
Follow up for and send out renewal letters as directedSpecial Projects as assignedResearch and answer inquiries from internal and external customersAssist with testing and QA of systemsQualificationsQualifications and Education Requirements College degree or equivalent work experience as an Assistant with demonstrated involvement in insurance industry education preferred.
Must have excellent work ethic and energetic personalityCapable of mastering multiple systems and have experience working in a paperless environmentAbility to adapt to a time sensitive, fast pace, high production environmentDisplay a professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills Team-oriented attitude and approachPreferred Skills Strong organizational skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, ImageRight experience a plus.
Rating experience preferred but not requiredAbility to quickly learn new software & systemsStrong multi-tasking skillsGood customer service and work ethicProblem Solving Abilities with math aptitude.
