    POSITION: Clinical Scheduler/Safety and Education Coordinator



    HOURS: 40 per week



    SUPERVISOR: Director of Clinical and Resident Services/Director of Finance



    JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS: Computer skills and ability for accurate data entry are essential. This person must be able to relate well to other people and maintain a calm environment. This employee must also conduct self in a courteous and respectful manner to residents and staff. Must have ability to work with all employees and be able to motivate and convey importance of training. Organizational skills and ability to use good judgment are important. Ability to work independently, prioritize and seek assistance when needed. Ability to multitask and to follow specific instructions is also critical in this position. Individual should be flexible both in adjusting to changing job duties and position requirements This person must maintain all resident and employee information in a confidential manner. Have respect and interest in Geriatrics.



    RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES:



  • Clinical Scheduler
  • Working with the Director of Clinical and Resident Services on Clinical and Resident needs
  • Manage and update emergency preparedness plan
  • Ensure that the organization meets all compliance requirements related to emergency preparedness and in-service compliance for Nursing Homes and Senior Housing
  • Prepare and take Minutes of the Emergency Preparedness Committee (see attachment for specific duties)
  • Prepare and take Minutes of the Safety Committee (see attachment for specific duties)
  • Look for and Identify items for improved safety
  • Policy Development for Emergency Preparedness and training
  • Maintain documentation of mock drills, review procedures and corroborate with Managers to ensure compliance
  • Develop and monitor tracking system for In-service training
  • Continually evaluates training progress and training procedures to monitor effectiveness monthly, quarterly, annually and update as needed
  • Attend outside seminars, meetings and trainings for compliance of emergency preparedness and convey information to all staff. Update policies and procedures as necessary
  • Attend committee, management and other staff meetings as needed to ensure compliance and training
  • Prepare agenda for (in conjunction with DON)and take minutes during Quarterly Quality Improvement meetings
  • Computes, completes, and distributes customer billing statements according to schedule.
  • Assists Supervisor with various financial reports for the organization, including but not limited to monthly financial statements, audit preparation materials, tax-related documents, and other financial reports as assigned.
  • Completes special projects and reports as delegated by supervisor.
  • Responsible for adherence to all laws and regulations pertaining to all aspects of the position and business operations..
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer billing as well as all information required of the position and organization.

    • QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Must have experience working with projects, reports, and deadlines, preferably in skilled nursing facilities and/or senior housing facilities. Experience in healthcare settings, accounting field or a financially related work environment also desired.
  • Must have good working knowledge of computers, software and/or ability to learn.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks, organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills. Responsible to plan daily, weekly, monthly work schedule.
