- Connect patients with community support services.
- Assist in teaching coping skills to individuals and families.
- Support in benefit application processes.
- Provide crisis support after hospitalizations or incarcerations.
- Accompany individuals to appointments.
- Engage individuals with recovery services.
- Educate on various modes of recovery.
- Articulate personal recovery goals.
- Assist in creating Wellness Recovery Action Plans.
- Refer individuals to community resources.
- Teach problem-solving techniques.
- Discuss methods to overcome challenges.
- Teach coping techniques and empowerment skills.
- Participate in program committees.
- Perform other assigned duties.

Helio Health is dedicated to supporting individuals in their recovery journey from substance use, mental health disorders, and behavioral healthcare issues.
The Peer Specialist / Certified Recovery Peer Advocate plays a crucial role in helping individuals regain independence and maintain their recovery, working full-time at Helio Health's Rochester Outpatient Program.
Pay Rate:
$16.23 - $19.00 per hour.
As a Peer Specialist, you will:
A Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) will also:
Requirements include a high school diploma, CRPA certification, and one year of Health or Human Service experience.
Empathy is crucial for this role, whether through personal recovery experiences or supportive relationships.
A valid NYS Driver's License is a must.
