- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development of detailed technical data packages in compliance with customer requirements.
- Assist in the planning, design, and launch of facility manufacturing processes.
- Ability to apply lean principles to an existing product design and manufacturing processes by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
- Able to recommend capital equipment requirements to achieve manufacturing goals based on product specification.
- Possess strong knowledge of product development in manufacturing, production process, and equipment or machinery.
- Experience in robotics, automation, tooling, molding, and fixtures is preferred.
- Maintain a direct interface with customers to ensure project success.
- Work cooperatively within an integrated team to deliver exceptional results.
- A minimum of 5 years of process, industrial, or manufacturing engineering experience required, preferably in the automotive industry.
- AutoCAD experience doing facilities layout.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Significant local and overnight travel is required to company or customer facilities.
