    Assistant Laboratory Services Manager

    General Responsibilities Include:

    • Plan, coordinate, and direct programs for research, product development, troubleshooting, and improvement of manufacturing processes.
    • Maintain and develop Metalworking, General Industrial, and Process Oil product lines.
    • Direct programs for analysis and testing of substances to verify composition of manufactured products.
    • Coordinate research and analysis activities according to applicable regulations, manufacturing processes, or other considerations.
    • Approves modifications for formulas, standards, specifications, and processes.
    • Review research, testing, quality control, and other operational reports to ensure that quality standards, efficiency, and schedules are met.
    • Interpret results of laboratory activities to laboratory personnel, management, and professional and technical societies.
    • Provide technical support, guidance, and training to internal and external customers.
    • Troubleshoot customer issues.
    • Provide trial and start-up support for the sales team.
    • Direct and handle regulatory affairs such as governmental reporting, compliance programs, and technical data sheets and SDSs.
    • Advise management, technical personnel, and representatives of other organizations of activities.
    • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment issues.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred; and/or five to ten years related experience.
    • Experience in Industrial Lubrication or Metalworking product development or application preferred.
    • Ability to problem solve using concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills – both written and oral.
    • Leadership/Management skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Team player that wants to be part of a fast-paced organization.
