- Current valid CA licensure issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California*

- Successful completion of an accredited residency program by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association in a Psychiatric medical specialty area (i.e., Board Eligible)

About:
Behavioral Health Services (BHS) is increasingly expanding services under its Managed Care division which oversees the Office of Coordinated Care (OCC), Utilization Management (UM), and Quality Management (QM). Additionally, BHS will be standing up the Mental Health Services Center to increase access to care by providing low-threshold behavioral health services, including psychiatric services. The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Deputy Medical Director of Managed Care provides effective leadership and strategic direction in the partnership with the areas of service under the Director of Managed Care.
Role:
The role will be 10-30% dedicated to clinical responsibilities with the remaining 70-90% dedicated to Deputy Medical Director responsibilities.

*Applicants possessing a valid license to practice medicine issued from another state within the United States of America may apply, but if selected, the candidate will NOT be appointed/hired until they obtain a valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California.
