Job Description: DevOps Engineer with Microsoft Azure

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely, with a preference for candidates local to Kansas.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Microsoft Azure DevOps.
Manage and optimize Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, and storage solutions.
Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of DevOps processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of cloud-based services.
Implement security best practices and compliance standards for Azure infrastructure and applications.
Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and support team collaboration.
Experience in Azure Cloud technology: design and implement infrastructure, Resource management, API management, App deployment to Production environment
Experience with Github, New relic, containers
Experience with bicep and YAML languages
Monitor, optimize and support Azure services

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Extensive experience with Azure services, including Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager, Azure Functions, and Azure Active Directory.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager templates.
Strong understanding of containerization technologies and orchestration tools, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote or distributed team environment.
Azure certifications such as AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions or AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator are a plus.

Contract Details:

Duration: Initial 8-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.
Location: Mostly remote, with a preference for candidates local to Kansas.
