POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Manager, Hourly Recruiting, based in our Fort Lauderdale office, will work closely with department heads to understand client's Solar hourly recruitment needs.
The primary goal of this role is to attract, recruit and deploy hourly workforce in alignment with the demands of our solar project pipeline.
The success of the Manager will be evaluated based on the ability to make effective recruitment decisions, exhibit strong communication, management, and problem-solving abilities, and optimize the organization's end-to-end recruitment process (systems, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring) for hourly workforce.
Education And Work ExperienceMinimum of 3 years previous recruiting experience in a high volume (100+ weekly) hourly non-exempt position is required
Previous experience recruiting in Construction or Renewable Energy Industries is a plus
30%-50% interstate travel required
Proficiency in networking, candidate sourcing, outreach, cold calling and utilizing social media, job boards, veteran/military networks, schools, community initiatives, and/or other related sources of talent
Ability to build trusted partnerships with Hiring Managers, Recruiters, and Project Leaders
Demonstrate capacity to lead and manage a team and drive results to programmatic execution of talent acquisition solutions.
Identify specific activities required to achieve goals, prioritize tasks, and drive complex projects to completion
Recommends continued improvements to current processes to scale and enhance efficiency of hourly recruitment operations
Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat required
Upholds strict confidentiality and professionalism while handling personnel information and sensitive topics
Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation, and polite phone etiquette
Demonstrates in-depth understanding of company goals and objectives
Capable of establishing and maintaining longstanding relationships with industry professionals
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
Support baseline operation workforce planning for hourly workforce including recruiting and internal talent mobility
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to understand the solar project waterfall (pipeline), current and future hiring needs, and communicate this information to the recruiting team for effective execution of recruiting efforts
Act as a liaison between Field Operations, Estimating, Accounting, and Recruiting to support project due diligence, manage recruiting workflows, and assist the Field Project team
Develop a recruitment strategy to build an active pipeline that meets hourly labor demands for each project site, based on a thorough analysis of organizational plans, objectives, forecasted hiring needs, and project location demographics in collaboration with the project site team
Gain a comprehensive understanding of clients' employee value proposition, culture, and benefits and effectively communicate these details to candidates to attract them to client, over other opportunities in the market
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify key job duties, position profiles, and business requirements, and establish creative strategies to proactively source candidates in each location/market, including through advertising
Research and understand location-specific details to support grassroots recruitment efforts at local community centers, workforce centers, chamber of commerce, churches, trade schools, transition houses, inmate release programs, etc.
Create a state profile playbook containing essential information to manage and optimize sourcing channels and address regional labor supply challengesManage candidate engagement strategy through various methods including visiting project sites & local communities, networking, phone calls, sending texts and emails, utilizing social media platforms, job boards, and other recruitment channels to build a diverse talent pool and enhance candidate outreach & engagement initiatives
Leverage technology to streamline and optimize recruiting procedures and stay updated on sourcing tools
Coordinate, organize, and participate in hiring events for each project site as needed
Stay current on labor laws and communicate to recruiters and managers any changes in regulations
Supervise a team of recruiters by monitoring their performance, assign responsibilities and workload, managing deployment, and arranging training and development opportunities
Identify and recommend specialized local staffing partners for each project to expand existing resources and negotiate favorable rates if necessary to meet the schedule goals
Data tracking and reporting of key success metrics to assess recruitment performance and drive continuous performance
Perform other duties as assigned
