    The Plant Manager (PM) is responsible for oversight of plant activities in order to meet business objectives by driving the corporate mission and vision into daily operations. The PM is accountable for all aspects of plant performance while ensuring that near- and longer-term key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that is consistent with environmental, health, safety, and quality requirements. The PM delegates authority to key supervisors in production and manages all activities related to plant operations. The PM is responsible and accountable for all aspects of their site to ensure that business is conducted in a safe, clean and responsible manner consistent with the company's policies and procedures.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Lead the operation of a safe and environmentally compliant facility; Execute the company's EH&S policies, procedures, training, and practices; Establish routinepractices to assure compliance with OSHA/MOE/MOL standards.
    2. Build a world class team to drive business objectives. Manage staffing levels and required positions.
    3. Execute the plant production plan to meet/exceed order fulfilment demands within the company's established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    4. Develop, maintain and deliver the facility's expense budget.
    5. Prepare, submit and manage Capital Expenditure Projects (CERs) to provide measurable return.
    6. Drive Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) and Base Cost Productivity (BCP) projects including defining and monitoring project goals and objectives through to completion.
    7. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions when needed.
    8. Participate in Project Management (PMO) activities.
    9. Partner with shared services leaders (i.e., EH&S, Quality, Engineering, Planning/Scheduling, Warranty, and Customer Service) in the tactical and strategic execution of plant performance
    10. Manage and maintain site location(s), including all areas of the facility and oversees third parties and internal staff responsible for maintenance and upkeep.
    11. Drive cultural programs and assure an environment of engagement, inclusion and open communication where employee issues are addressed proactively.
    12. Partner with Human Resources to communicate and uphold company policies, procedures and laws.
    13. Develop a culture of long-term succession planning.
    14. Review and monitor material requirements to identify overdue materials and track and plan material deliveries.
    15. Generate purchase requisitions as necessary to support production requirements.
    16. Assist and help lead the implementation of an ERP / MRP system over the next 1-2yrs.
    17. Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree is required in Engineering or a Business - related field (An associate degree may be considered with commensurate experience.)
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering related field to include:
    • 5 + years of experience in capital expenditure management
    • 5 + years of experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and methods
    • 3 + years of experience in a manufacturing plant
    • Lean Manufacturing experience. Six Sigma Green / Black belt preferred.
    • Strong leadership, teambuilding, decision-making and people management skills
    • Demonstrated understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations.
    • Ability to work well independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to develop and implement processes that drive continuous improvement.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting business reports, metrics and KPIs.
    • Project management experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to effectively represent the company with employees, compliance agencies, vendors and customers.
    • Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand; walk; bend; use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms, prolonged sitting, repetitive computer use, occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
    • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office software
    • Travel requirements: Generally, less than 10% with occasional overnights
