The Managing Director / Site Leader for the production facility in Germany will be responsible for overseeing all cross-functional activities and ensuring that the site meets or exceeds customer expectations. We are seeking an Operational Excellence (Lean/Gemba mindset) Managing Director who can lead the manufacturing strategy, global distribution network, budget execution, and production plant of 350+ (Operations) staff (500+ total on the plant).

Requirements:

  • Extensive management and functional knowledge as a Plant, Production, or Manufacturing Leader with site responsibility in an international, ideally US-led company
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern management and organizational methods, particularly in-depth knowledge of lean management and a proven track record in implementing lean management transformations, efficiency improvements, and change projects
  • Ability to create a process-oriented, results-focused organization while delivering high-quality products on time to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Fluency in both German and English is mandatory
  • Strong customer focus, with an understanding of how decisions will impact the customer experience
  • Ability to communicate at a senior executive level on key issues, strategies, and actions necessary for the success of the global business
  • General management acumen, with an understanding of the financial impact of decision-making within the operations function
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and make key decisions quickly
